It was great to get away for a little while this weekend. My wife and I were able to go camping with a couple friends, who we don’t get to see very often, and get away from things around here. It was really good for both of us to get out and see everything that is not in a city; trees as far as you can see, birds, rolling hills and deep ravines. It has a great impression on me every time I spend time in a place like that, it is in those places that I am able to stop and fully appreciate what God has given us. It was really great to wake up to birds chirping and the morning dew in the air. The only thing bad about the trip is having to come back.

I have to admit that I’ve been a little negligent recently of this site. There has been a lot going on recently and it has caused me to not have a whole lot of time. I’ve attended several graduation gatherings, including mine, in the past several weeks and enjoyed spending time with family. That said, as of May 3rd I am graduated and am very lucky to have found a job in the area that my wife and I were wanting to be. It seems that my career is starting, I am a Computer Specialist at ISU doing a lot of the tasks that I had been doing previously. This works out well because I knew the people there already and was familiar with the things I am doing. I enjoy this job and hopefully will continue to.
As time goes on hopefully I’ll have a few more things to write about. I hope to start writing more technology-based articles dealing with various how-to issues. If you have anything that you’d like to know how to do let me know and I’ll see if it can be done. Until then…

Last weekend I had the rare privilege to listen to a speech by a woman who has been in a near death situation to being a fighter for humans’ rights to knowledge and forgiveness among other things.
This woman was taken to the Nazi death camp Auschwitz when she was 10 years old, along with her twin sister. She struggled to survive the tortuous things that were done there, and her will allowed her to outlast the life of the camp. Her twin sister also survived the tests and tortures of Auschwitz.
I was very taken by her speech. I am very glad that she is able to describe what she went through and use that to create awareness for the things that happened, and use it to create legislation to help the current situations. She is creating awareness in the community through a Holocaust museum, using it to teach the public of the things that happend during WWII. I am at a loss for words of how to explain her speech and the events in its content. I feel blessed to be able to listen to her speak and hope that there are others that have the same opportunity.
